What is the process for booking?

Prior to the trial visit, we will send you a suggested menu based on your personal preferences, which we will discuss; menus are all curated to your needs and lifestyle goals. If you sign on, we will send you menu suggestions for 3 services at a time. At least 3 days before the visit you will send us your 6 selections (which could be from my suggestions or just anything you want). The day of the visit a FlavorPlayer Chef will shop for necessary groceries, arrive at your home about 10:30am, cook enough food to last your family the whole week, store food in containers provided by you, and clean. (Drop off service is available at additional cost of $45). The Chef will submit a copy of the grocery receipt to you via txt or email and you will remit payment for services and grocery reimbursement at that time via Zelle (preferred) or credit card (additional fees apply for CC charges).

What is the cost?

The service is $525 per visit, plus cost of groceries with a commitment of 6 months or greater; $575 per visit, plus cost of groceries, for a commitment of less than 6 months.

Is there a trial before I commit?

There is a one time trial fee of $750, plus groceries. If you decide to sign up for the service, the overage will go toward the first service (i.e.: the first service would be $225 plus groceries on a 6 month contract). The trial is NOT binding.

How many dishes do you cook during a service?

The weekly service includes 6 dishes of your choice, enough to feed you and your family for a week.

Is there a cancellation policy?

If Client cancels a weekly meal plan service at least five (5) days prior to the start of scheduled service or less, they will be billed the full amount for the week. If cancellation is seven (7) days or more prior to the week, then Client will be billed 50% of the weekly fee. Full cancellation details are listed in the agreement.

Is there a cancellation policy?

If the function is canceled, guest shall be responsible for 100% of the food charges if cancellation is between 0-14 days prior to the event. A detailed cancellation schedule is listed on the agreement.

What is the cost per person for full-service catering?

Full Service catering begins at $120 per person. This amount does not include servers, rentals, valet, tax and other non-food and beverage related charges.

How far in advance do I need to book?

The sooner, the better, but generally - 15 Day advanced booking is required for Drop-Off and Full-Service for parties of 10 or less. 20 Day advanced booking is required for Drop-Off-Catering and Full Service for parties of 10 or more. Large parties may require more time so it's always good to contact us so we can tailor to your needs.

How does payment work?

A deposit of 50% is required to hold the date for your event and full pre-payment is due minimum 14 days prior to event, depending on size. Once your menu selections are completed, you will receive a paylink to pay via credit card (additional fees apply) OR via Zelle, the PREFERRED method. Depending on your service, an agreement will also be issued for you to sign and return.

What is the minimum for drop-off catering?

Drop-off catering begins at $600. This amount does not include, rentals, valet, tax and other non-food and beverage related charges.

Is gratuity included?

While we don’t impose gratuity, it is always encouraged to tip for services rendered. Additional service fees may apply, depending upon event.

Is there tax?

All catering services are subject to 8.875% sales tax.

How often do you cook in-home?

Most clients book weekly or bi-weekly service. We’ll work with you to find the right rhythm for your household.

What’s included in the service?

Everything from menu planning and grocery shopping to in-home cooking, packaging, labeling, and cleanup.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Absolutely. We customize every menu and frequently work with vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, low-FODMAP, and allergen-aware clients.

Do you serve households outside of NYC?

We’re based in New York City and can often travel to surrounding areas for multi-day bookings or special circumstances. Let’s talk.

How far in advance should I book?

For weekly service, we recommend reaching out 2–4 weeks ahead of your desired start date. Space is limited due to the personalized nature of the service.

Where in NYC do you service?

We service all of Manhattan from Harlem, Upper West Side, Upper East Side down to the Financial District.

Private Chef - Westchester

Do you offer weekly or bi-weekly service?

Yes. Most clients in Westchester schedule weekly or every-other-week visits, depending on needs.

Can you help with specific dietary concerns?

Absolutely. We specialize in meals that support dietary needs without sacrificing flavor.

Do you travel across Westchester?

We currently serve much of the county including Rye, Scarsdale, White Plains, Larchmont, Bronxville, and surrounding areas. Let us know your location.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking 2–4 weeks in advance to reserve your preferred schedule.

Is this a meal delivery service?

No — this is personalized in-home cooking. Your meals are made fresh in your kitchen and customized for your household.

Do you work with kids’ preferences or family-style meals?

Absolutely. We can create meals that work for kids, adults, or both — from comforting classics to globally inspired dishes.

How far in advance should we book?

We suggest booking 2–4 weeks ahead. Regular slots tend to fill quickly.

Do you travel to other parts of Fairfield County?

Depending on availability, yes. Reach out and we’ll see if we can accommodate your area.

What types of events do you cater?

We cater dinner parties, weddings, birthdays, holiday celebrations, corporate events, and more. Whether you’re hosting five people or fifty, we’ll tailor the experience to your needs.

Do you offer custom menus?

Always. Every menu is created from scratch in collaboration with you, based on your preferences, dietary needs, and the tone of the event.

Do you provide staff and rentals?

Yes! We can provide servers, bartenders, and chefs, as well as assist with rentals like tables, chairs, plates, and glassware. Let us know what you need and we’ll coordinate it.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend at least two weeks for small gatherings and one to three months for larger events or peak seasons like holidays and weddings.

Yes — we frequently prepare gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, vegetarian, and allergy-conscious menus.

Do you provide staff or rentals?

We can coordinate experienced service staff, bartenders, and rentals through our trusted network.

Both options are available depending on your event needs, size, and kitchen setup.

Yes — we often collaborate with local farms, florists, and rental providers to create full, beautiful event experiences.

We focus on Greenwich but often work in nearby areas like Stamford, Darien, and Westport. Just ask!
